NIGHT VISION NOCTURNE Submission Call

For this year's Art Matter's festival, the IMCA Student Collective will present NIGHT VISION NOCTURNE: a new media show focusing on themes relating to the night (think: darkness, sleep/sleeplessness, dreams, silence, emptiness, ambiguity, imaginary space, and hiding). We are looking for new media installation based artwork including but not limited to sound, video installation, electronics/robotics/kinetics, interactivity, computer based, etc. which can be experienced in a darkened gallery space, either employing night time as a topic of artistic exploration or alternately, utilizing methods of self-illumination in its presentation.

We have an excellent gallery space for this year's show too (Espace Artefacto located at 3520 St-Jacques) and encourage performance artists to also apply as we will be looking for performance art for the vernissage event at the gallery.

**If you would like to be considered for the night vision nocturne show specifically, write "night vision" somewhere on the front of your submission and/or email a copy of your submission to imca.collective@gmail.com so we know to look out for it during the jury weekend!**
